Our logo is more than a graphic — it's a story of identity, belonging, and aspiration.
Design Philosophy
The logo was designed to visually represent the society's unique position as a bridge between two worlds: the homeland of Bangladesh and the adopted home of Aotearoa New Zealand. Every element was chosen with intention.
Key Elements
The Circular Form
The circular shape represents unity, continuity, and community. It frames the society as a formal body within the University of Auckland.
Deep Green and Red
These are the two colours most strongly associated with Bangladesh — drawn directly from the national flag. A fine gold accent adds dignity and institutional presentation.
The Red Sun
Echoing the Bangladesh flag, the red sun symbolises energy, hope, identity, and new beginnings — particularly relevant for students starting a new chapter in New Zealand.
Silhouette of Bangladesh
The map of Bangladesh sits at the centre, representing the community's roots and shared heritage.
Auckland Sky Tower
The Sky Tower represents the students' present home and their academic journey at the University of Auckland.
Silver Fern
The New Zealand silver fern sits alongside an open book and graduation cap — representing learning, student success, and the blending of cultures.
A Bridge Between Worlds
Together, these elements tell the story of who we are: Bangladeshi students building a future in Aotearoa, carrying our heritage with pride while embracing new horizons.
